The seeds and bracket have been set, and the first round of matches begins tomorrow night at 9:30 PM Eastern!
Due to the uneven number of registered teams, please note that some teams did receive byes for Round 1. It was difficult to seed this tournament; we fully admit that the seeding may not be perfect, and after the first 10 or so teams, it was randomized. Please do not complain about the seeding, as it is set and will NOT be modified. If you believe your team is better than the seed you were given, then you simply have to prove it by playing well in your matches. Please view the tournament bracket for the schedule, map list, and tournament dates. Good luck to all teams participating! The Total Gaming League is proud to announce a start date for the Burning Nations Frontlines: Fuel of War tournament! Round 1 matches will begin at 9:30 PM Eastern on Sunday, November 2nd. This will be a single elimination tournament, with one match played each week.
If you haven't played the game for awhile, you'll be happy to know that PunkBuster was implemented. Please see this thread to enable the console in FFOW, so you can get your proper PBGUID. Prizing includes $10,000 in cash, three HP Blackbird 002 computers, and six NVIDIA 8800 GTX Video Cards. Please register as soon as possible, as registration ends on November 1st at 10:00 PM Eastern! The Total Gaming League is currently seeking a few more highly motivated and pro-active Anti-Cheat Admins for the following games: Battlefield Series, Call of Duty 4, Counter Strike: Source, Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, and Team Fortress 2.

A general understanding of anti-cheat technologies, such as PunkBuster or Steam, is preferred but not required. Ideal applicants must be mature, act in a professional manner, be 18+ years old, and have the capability to provide TGL users with excellent customer service. Total Gaming League Anti-Cheat Admins are allowed to be on a team and play. All Applications will be checked rigorously by the current Anti-Cheat team. If you'd like to assist us in managing one of the fastest growing and most exciting competition organizations in existence today, please go to our staff application and start filling in your information. Thank you and good luck to those that apply! The TGL will be using the latest version of Promod (Version 3 Final) for the remainder of the COD4 Promod Summer Mini-League. Please update by downloading the latest version here.
At 3:00 PM Eastern today (approximately 30 minutes from the time this news is being posted), DICE and Electronic Arts are giving away 400 new keys to the Battlefield: Heroes Beta!
Update: All the keys have been won. Congratulations to the winners! While we haven't had too many issues with Combat Arms yet, it's clear to everyone that the anti-cheat capability of this game is just horrible at the moment. The built-in anti-cheat solution is virtually worthless, there's no demo support or spectator mode, and our very own Bad Apple requires a yet-to-be-released patch before it will work with Combat Arms.
However, even with Bad Apple, we feel Nexon should improve the anti-cheat capabilities of their product by adding league friendly features (such as demo and spectator support). We're not going to announce any ultimatums at this time, but we believe it's important for all Combats Arms players to contact Nexon and voice their concerns. We've already made several attempts to contact them ourselves, but it seems they need to hear it from the majority of players before they make any changes.
